My name is Emma. I'm a French Immersion and Photo & Videography teacher here in Saskatoon. Ever since I was a kid, I would save up all my money to buy cameras. In high school, I was lucky enough to use film cameras which I grew to absolutely love because it forces you to be very intentional with every picture. Knowing you only have 24 exposures on a roll meant that you really have to think about each and every shot. Of course, now I shoot digital, but I still try to carry that mentality. Now, why in the world am I talking about photography on my videography bio? Well, that's because my love for photography opened my world up to cinema, film, and videography. I studied Film in university to the point that now, I (un)fortunately can never watch a movie without noticing the composition of each shot. I'm lucky enough to get to teach both photography and videography, and during the summer I get to challenge my creativity and make beautiful short films that couples will hopefully cherish for a lifetime.

What You Can Expect Working With Me
Positive Energy: If you know me, you know I bring the energy. I’m genuinely excited for you and your day. I love to bring laughs, and smiles to everything I do to keep things fun and relaxed. You can expect genuine enthusiasm and good vibes from the getting ready, right to the dance.
Attention to Detail: I notice the little things like stray hairs, clothing tags, awkward hands, or small distractions that you shouldn't worry about on the day, but you know will bother you later. I’m not afraid to step in when needed so your film feels polished and intentional.
Flexible: Plans shift and that’s okay. If a timeline changes or you want to try a different location or idea in the moment, I’m happy to roll with it and make it work. Some of the best shots come from unplanned moments.
Clear Communication & Reliability: You’ll always know what to expect; from timelines to delivery. I keep things straightforward, respond promptly, and follow through on what I promise. Have a question, an idea, a worry? Email, text, ask away!
Efficient: A 30 sec sneak peak will be delivered within 24hrs, and your trailer within 7 days! No need to wait months like most other videographers. I'm too excited to edit and you want your film; let's get it done!

About the Process
Inquiries: Reach out with any questions or even just to get a vibe check - It's important to like the person that will be following you around all day. And if I may say, I'm pretty fun to have around!
Booking: Ready to book? I will send you my Booking Form and Style Questionnaire and require a 20% deposit.
Up and until the wedding: Feel free to send me any ideas or inspo that you love (usually through Instagram).
1-2 weeks before: I will reach out to you to confirm schedules and any other required details.
1-2 weeks before: I will reach out to your photographer to make sure we're on the same page so we can work together seamlessly.
The big day: I will arrive a bit early to set up my gear, then I'm onto you! I will capture all the fun candid moments as well as detail shots. Normally, I don't require too much more additional poses than the photographer, just a few more dynamic ones (walking, dancing, etc.), which honestly look great for the photographers too! I will hook up mics to the officiant and groom for the ceremony and otherwise, I will be just floating around capturing the day as it is.
24hrs after the wedding: A 30 second preview will sent your way!
7-14 days after: Your trailer will be ready! No waiting months and months for your film; enjoy it while you're on your honeymoon.
7+ days: If you ordered longer edits, those will take a bit more time (around a month depending on when my other weddings are scheduled).
FAQs
I like to focus on candid moment films that reflect how the day actually felt. I try my best to work unobtrusively, capture real moments as they happen, and avoid heavy posing or staged scenes. The goal is a film that feels personal, honest, and timeless. Check out my portfolio and Instagram for some examples.
** All that said, if you want to make a fun quirky and directed film, I am down! My dream is do make a Wes Anderson inspired wedding video. **
No, then yes a bit, then back to no.... Super clear, hey? hah! Let me explain: everything I shoot is candid, except for the portraits. During the portraits, I will use many of the photographers poses because there would never be enough time for 2 entirely different shoots. Also, most couples invest most of their budget in their photographer, so I want to respect their time. If there is time or based on your priorities, I will give explicit guidance for some extra shots (normally more dynamic/moving ones), then I am right back to capturing candids for the rest of the day. No need to worry about me bossing you around or an overwhelming feeling of having multiple media people taking up your day. Ideally, I'm just there an extra hype person that coincidentally is also capturing all love!
Final films typically range from 2-5 minutes, depending on the day and the package you choose. I focus on quality shots and pacing rather than length for its own sake.
This depends on your package and preferences. Normally, I capture the full flow of the day, including:
Getting ready
The ceremony
Portraits
Venue details
Key reception moments
Candid interactions and reactions
I prioritize emotional moments and meaningful details over exhaustive coverage.
Do I really need a wedding videographer?
This question haunts me a bit. And this is the wrong answer any business owner should give, but honestly: probably not. Plenty of people don’t hire a videographer and still have a wonderful wedding.
That said, I think the value of wedding videography is often underestimated. I didn’t have a videographer at my own wedding, but my sister surprised me with a short video afterward, and it’s something I truly treasure. I watch it far more often than I look at my photos because it shows a lot more of the emotions and feelings of the day than my pictures did. In fact, her video is actually one of the reasons I got into videography; so that I could offer people the same.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love photography, but there is just something about movement and sound. It’s why Live Photos exist, and why those moving photos in Harry Potter feel so magical. Video captures voices, laughter, and little moments you don’t even realize are happening at the time or happen way too quickly.
So no, you don’t need a videographer. But when the day is over, photography and videography are the only things you get to keep. And video lets you relive it in a way nothing else really can.
Most couples book 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak summer dates. If your wedding is sooner, feel free to reach out to check availability. I've been booked the week before and it ended up being one of my favourite weddings!
Absolutely! I work collaboratively and respectfully with photographers to ensure both of us can do our best work without getting in each other’s way. I actually worked many years as a wedding photographer assistant so sometime I catch my old habits coming out and I even start offering to carry their bags/lenses/etc.
Efficiency is my style! I love to obsess over things, so after your wedding I will most likely be working on your edit that night! I intentionally only book around 5 weddings a summer, so that I can dedicate time to completing projects quickly... Normally within the week!
Yes. Travel fees may apply depending on location. Generally approx. $0.50/km outside of Saskatoon area.
Yes. I use professional audio equipment and do everything I reasonably can to capture clear sound during the ceremony and speeches. That said, audio quality can depend on things like venue rules, placement restrictions, wind, clothes, and the overall environment, so I can’t/don't guarantee perfect audio in every situation. The beauty with a highlight film is that normally audio is only used in small snipets.
No, unless it is requested in advance. Trailers are curated highlights, not full-length recordings. I select moments that best support the story and pacing of the film. If you would like the ceremony or speeches recorded, make sure to add that onto your package so I can bring and set up the right equipement.
Minor revisions are included, ie, did I mistakenly include a shot of your sister's boyfriend that is possibly on his way out... or your aunt's laugh that bothers you every time you hear it? Do you absolutely hate what you are doing with your hands in one of the shots? Trust me, I get it. Let me know and I will swap it out for another clip.
Major restructuring is not typically included, as the film reflects a creative editorial process and the editing process takes normally 8+ hours per 3 minute film. If there are any issues though, let me know, I want you to be happy! :)
Raw footage is not included by default. It can be added as an optional upgrade upon request. That said, most of my shots are only 5-15 seconds in length and shot in S-LOG3 (a dynamic range format that looks very dull when unedited), so they would not necessarily make sense unless edited.
Despite all your best planning, weddings are unpredictable. I've been to countless weddings, so I have lots of experience adapting quickly and working calmly under pressure to capture what matters most, even when timelines shift.
Not at all! Most couples feel this way. My approach is low-pressure and natural, so you don’t need to perform or act for the camera. Also, I find that video is often more forgiving because it's not a moment frozen in time, rather, your natural reactions which create sincere moments.
That’s perfectly fine! Not every story is loud or dramatic. Quiet, sincere moments often make the most meaningful films.
